Gambling zone "Crimea"

Crimea gambling zone

The project of the Crimea gambling zone has already gone beyond discussions. The construction of the first facilities is scheduled for the end of 2017. In the meantime, preparations are being conducted on the territory of the former Zhemchuzhina health resort near Yalta. It is to be recalled that in 2014, the Russian President Vladimir Putin endorsed a law, which implied the appearance of a gambling zone on the territory of the Crimea by 2019.

The total area of the Crimea gambling zone will be 16.8 hectares. It will be located at a picturesque place on the Black Sea coast near the Swallow's Nest castle in the village of Gaspra.

Currently, the main news related to the Crimea gambling zone is the appearance of a major Russian investor. The volume of the invested funds is 8 billion rubles. Sergey Aksyonov, the Head of the Republic, said that thanks to such investments the gambling zone would be launched within the next year and a half.

The head of the region also offers potential investors full confidentiality in order to avoid sanctions. This way, the government with the support of the Crimean officials and business elite plans to make the peninsula less dependent on state funds.
