Three main draft bills on gambling to review in third reading in Russia

Today, on November 13, the committee considers in the third reading the decision to submit bills No. 1037957-6 and No. 108659-7 to the Council of the State Duma of Russian Federation. The first, as we already wrote, provides for gambling tax hike.

The second one is to restrict money transmission to operators who provide illegal gambling services. The bill covers all individuals and legal entities with foreign citizenship, as well as stateless persons who are on the list of violators.

Credit organizations and payment agents are in charge for restrictions performance. They are obliged to ensure the operation of the law, considering the list of persons, suspected of providing of illegal gambling services, by refusing to transfer money in favor of violators.

Extended definitions of processing centers for betting houses and bookmakers, as well as their presentation in a new edition, are proposed in the document as well.

After approving, bills will be sent to the Federation Council, and afterwards, to the President of the Russian Federation for approval.
