The State Duma can ban betting on youth competitions

The State Duma of the RF can review the draft law that regulates betting on youth competitions in July of 2017.

The law will forbid bookmaking companies to accept bets on official youth competitions. Besides that, the Interactive bets accounting center won’t have the right to conduct any kinds of monetary operations in relation to this type of sporting events.

According to experts, the law won’t have a big impact on the operation of betting shops in Russia. Far more serious consequences can be brought by another law, which will be reviewed during the same month: about the reduction of the number of events available for betting.

Thus, the State Duma can substantially cut the list of events, on which tote, betting shops, and specialized centers can offer bets.
