Kaliningrad region authorities expect great tourist flow growth

Within three years, the tourist flow to the Kaliningrad region may increase to 107.5 thousand people a year.

Such a forecast was made by the head of the regional Ministry for culture and tourism Andrey Ermak.

It should be noted that last year the eastern parts of the region were visited by 71.2 thousand tourists.

This indicator will be achieved if the region realizes all its plans for the development of tourism infrastructure, promotion and development of tourist routes. In particular, this year it is planned to create an information center, as well as a network of parking lots, car camping grounds and mini-hotels near roads for people traveling around the region by car.

Among the projects that are being implemented and can dramatically increase the number of foreign and Russian guests, is the Yantarnaya gambling zone. Now it includes one large operating hall of slot machines.
