Taiwanese investor will open hotels and boutiques in Primorye

Taiwan-based company First Steamship, which is a new owner of Tigre de Cristal casino, is ready to allocate funds for the development of the Primorye resort. According to the investor, the region shows potential for tourism development.

Three months ago, First Steamship purchased the main parcel of shares from Summit Ascent, the main investor of Tigre de Cristal. Consequently, the company is in charge of the core decisions regarding the casino now. The company is ready to invest in other tourist projects of the region (a hotel chain and several boutiques) to make the Primorye resort more popular and to attract more visitors. It was also announced that the company would construct facilities not related to gambling on the territory of the resort.

Today tourists are attracted to Primorye mainly by the warm sea (the swimming season lasts for around 30 days), unique natural sites, and wildlife sanctuaries. Sports and eco-tourism is developed in the region.

The Primorye resort has all chances to change the tourism infrastructure. That is the largest entertainment resort in the Far Eastern region; according to plans, it will cover the area of around 630 ha. One large casino complex is already functional; two more casino and hotel complexes are under construction. One of them will house a waterpark. The construction is expected to be complete in 2019.
