World’s biggest casinos: top 5 list

Despite the development of gambling online platforms, the number of land-based casinos is not decreasing. In early 2018, only Macau established 41 casinos in total.

Currently, land-based casinos operate throughout the world, being frequently located within major resorts with hotels, restaurants, and entertainment complexes. Given below is the list of world’s top largest gambling venues.

5. Ponte 16

A gambling complex, Ponte 16, has been working in the historical center of Macau since 2008. It consists of a hotel and casino of 25,000 sq. m.

To stand out against other casinos in Macau, Ponte 16 has organized an exhibition dedicated to the life and work of Michael Jackson.

The casino offers gamblers 320 slot machines and 150 tables for poker and other card games. Besides, the casino territory has three restaurants and bars, while the hotel includes 408 rooms for visitors.

4. Foxwoods Resort Casino

A hotel and casino complex, Foxwoods Resorts Casino, is located in Connecticut, USA. It features a 32,000-square metergambling zone.

The first hotel tower, Grand Pequot Tower, was established in 1997, and the second one called M GM Grand appeared in 2008. Moreover, there is also a shopping mall with 85 shops and boutiques.

The casino territory is equipped with 6300 slot machines and 380 gambling tables. By the way, guests can visit a separate major poker room with 114 tables.

3. City of Dreams

A gambling and hotel complex, City of Dreams, can be found in Macau. It was built in 2009 with four hotels.

Attendees can stay at the 36-storied Crown Towers hotel with a spa, at one of the two Grand Hyatt Macau hotels, as well as at the 37-storied Hard Rock Hotel with 322 rooms, swimming pool, and bars.

The gambling zone area is 39,000 sq. m. The complex territory contains four casinos. The main ones are City of Dreams Casino, Hard Rock Hotel Gaming Area, and Signature Club. Moreover, City of Dreams has an additional 40-storied casino hotel with living apartments. Players can enjoy 1350 slot machines and 520 poker tables.

The advantage of City of Dreams is that the minimum bet in slot machines starts with five cents, thus, everyone can participate in games.

There are also 16 restaurants and bars in the SOHO entertainment region, night club, theaters, and shopping malls with boutiques.

2. WinStar World Casino

The second biggest casino, WinStar World Casino, is located in the US town – Thackerville, Oklahoma. The gambling area was established in 2003, and new gambling territories were added in 2013.

The casino is divided into eight specialized zones, each of them made in a style of world’s major megalopolises, for example, Cairo or Paris.

Today, the casino occupies the area of about 48,200 sq. m. Eight specialized rooms, 120 gambling tables, and 7400 slot machines are offered to visitors.

1. The Venetian Macao

The world’s largest casino of 51,000 sq. m., Venetian Macao, is situated in the administrative region of China – Macau. casino is placed in the 225-meter skyscraper constructed in 2007 in the Cotai gambling zone.

The casino is designed in the Venetian style and divided into four thematic zones. Visitors are able to use 3400 slot machines and 800 gambling tables.

Its territory features approximately 30 restaurants offering various cuisines as well as 350 shops and 3000-room hotel.
