Tigre de Cristal can be closed due to new Russian legislation

Bill № 1037957-6, we have previously wrote about, is likely to cause the closure of a single casino in the integrated entertainment resort Primorye. Representatives of Tigre de Cristal appealed to the administration of Primorsky Krai with a report on the possible suspension of activities due to amendments in the tax code of Russian Federation.

The document spells out new taxes on gambling equipment (machines, gaming tables, processing centers, etc.), which are twice as high as the previous ones. However, the main reason is the obligation to deduct the state tax if the visitor's winnings exceed 15 thousand rubles.

The management of the casino is not ready to take on these obligations, as it foresees discontent among the customers. According to Primorsky Krai administration, the instability of Russian legislation is the reason for no foreign investment in Russian gambling zones.
