From January to June, owners of gambling business paid 10.8 million rubles to the budget of the northern capital.

The data was given by a financial committee of the city administration in its budget report. It is reported that the revenue from gambling taxes was half a million smaller during the same period last year. The difference is related to increase in the number of betting shops.

Under the federal law, only betting and lotteries are allowed in St. Petersburg.
