Tigre de Cristal owners: Russian laws do not allow players to make big bets
Representatives of Summit Ascent Holdings Ltd that owns the casino Tigre de Cristal have condemned Russian laws, according to which players must change dollars and other foreign currency into rubles in order to buy chips. Due to this, casino visitors do not make big bets.
The report of Tigre de Cristal showed that compared to the first half of 2016, casino profits for the six months of this year increased by 48%. Today it is $10.1 million. The share of slots increased by 16%. On the other hand, the demand for traditional gambling has decreased by 16%. Players prefer not to make big bets, since they do not want to lose large sums for converting foreign currency into rubles.
The company representatives are seeking to change the legislation in order to increase gambling income.
At the same time, Tigre de Cristal is going to change its CEO. Craig Ballantyne decided to leave the position, handing over the authority to the new CEO – Stylianos Tsifetakis. The 46-year-old expert has worked in the gambling industry for about 20 years and knows how to develop a large hotel and entertainment facility. The reason for Ballantyne to leave the company is a new position at Melco International Development Ltd.
