Land-based casino offers the first slot machine based on blockchain

Smartchlane Ethereum has installed SmartBox slot machine, its new blockchain-based product, in one of the land-based casinos. The slot machine uses the Ethereum platform and its mining system instead of the random number generator and standard software.

According to the developers of the slot machine, it accepts cash and converts it into RLT tokens (coins released by the company). Interestingly, players receive 0.5% of every bet amount back as a bonus. The system allows active players to gain income (in RLT tokens) from actions of other players.

The company says that it has already paid more than $300,000 (in RLT tokens) to players of SmartBox.

Currently, the slot machine is under beta testing and does not accept real money bets. After the trials, Smartchlane Ethereum will decide whether the blockchain-based slot machine should be sent to mass production.

The company announced the existence, specifics, and installation of the cryptocurrency slot machine, but did not reveal the details of its location or offered games.
