Kaliningrad’s Baden-Baden will attract Chinese travelers
The Yantarnaya gambling zone is planning to attract foreign tourists. Andrey Yermak announced it at the meeting of Kaliningrad region duma.
The Minister of culture and tourism believes that organized tourist groups from Asia are one of the directions that require special attention in order to promote the zone.
The Minister said that back in 2016 several groups of Chinese travelers that came to Kaliningrad intentionally visited the gambling zone near Kulikovo. The decision was taken that the practice should continue in the future.
Tourism is promoted at a rapid pace in China. More and more citizens turn to tour operators, willing to see the world. They are economically active, make many purchases, love visiting museums and galleries. Therefore, Andrey Yermak thinks that they will get interested in the Yantarnaya gambling zone.
However, the Minister of tourism has a realistic look at things and understands that today the zone cannot offer the appropriate infrastructure required for large groups of guests. Meanwhile, just one slot machine hall was opened in the zone, Magic Crystal, featuring 150 machines. There is a large building area around the facility, which was commissioned on the 8th of April in 2016: investors are constructing new facilities.
Near-term plans include two more slot machine halls and a casino with a hotel, restaurants, bars, and a stage. In the long run, there are intentions to create a resort that would resemble Baden-Baden: spa salons, a medical center with mineral waters and several large casinos. Exact dates of facility commissioning are not known yet, but customer acquisition strategies are already being elaborated.
