Employment training for scores of Atlantic City's laid off casino workers started today in attempt to help participants land new jobs or start new careers, according to reports.

Funded by federal grants, the reemployment initiative will be held at Atlantic Cape Community College Atlantic City campus providing small group and one-on-one job training sessions, the Press of Atlantic City reports.

The training is part of the $29.4 million Nation Emergency Grant New Jersey received in January.

On Wednesday, a Wall Street rating agency considered lowering the city's general obligation for the second time this year.
