Russia implements online visa system to attract tourists to Vladivostok gambling zone

To engage new players and major investors in Primorye gambling zone, Russia has simplified the visa application system for citizens from 18 countries, including China, Japan, Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates.

According to the recent introductions, citizens of the range of states may apply for visiting Russia in electronic format. An application will be processed within only four days. And if people obtain the entry permit, they can arrange a visa when crossing the border. The visa is issued for a month; a maximum term for staying in the country is 8 days.

According to the Russian Union of Travel Industry, the online visa system will allow to attract tourists from Asian countries, especially from China and Japan, as well as to simplify significantly the life of business people attending Russia. Besides, government officials believe that the decision to simplify the visa obtaining process will attract investors, willing to put money in development of the Russian Far East Federal district.

Currently, only one online system is available – for the Chinese. The official resource for submitting applications is still under development.
