RGW’ Minsk: Keynotes of the First Day

On the 27th of November, NEC BelExpo hosted the first day of the main event in the Belarus gambling industry – the first international gambling and entertainment exhibition-forum Russian Gaming Week’Minsk. About 700 specialists were present.

Exhibition Director Oleg Vlasov greeted guests and participants: “We’re very excited to meet you here, at the first gambling exhibition-forum Russian Gaming Week in Minsk! The environment, conference topics and lineup represent the major importance of the event not only to Minsk industry but to all Eastern European region, where gambling is currently prohibited.”

“Today we can see that governmental restrictions didn’t scare off players, but instead, stimulated black gambling development. Nevertheless, we enjoy positive result as well – we have our own Vegas, Belorussian gambling community that attracts players and junket tourists form the whole continent.”

New slogan “Feel the unlimited drive of gambling right now!” was created to mark the release of an exclusive new-generation BMW X5 F15 provided by Belatra, an official BMW representative in Belarus. Company also granted 1 mn BYR certificate to the winner of interactive slot challenge that could be used for purchasing gaming equipment with a discount.

RGW floor also hosted a Conference involving the leading industry experts. The program has been divided for 3 theme sections: Eastern European gambling market review; legislation and control authorities; global casino market news.

Ivan Montik’s presentation “Bitcoin casino. Advantages and risks” perhaps should be highlighted among other keynotes. The topic has been very interesting for RGW’Minsk guests and participants, who have massively crowded the hall and asked numerous questions.

Roundtable discussions on the topic of Belorussian legal environment has been a success, with such participants as Denits Dimitrov, international gambling business consultant from Malta and Alexandr Pogodin, Director’s Deputy at Belarusian State Institute of Standardization and Certification (BelGISS). Participants have discussed the development potential of Belorussian gambling business, legislative changes for the last year, bookmaker business aspect and series of topics devoted to responsible gambling.

Visitors could enjoy watching RGW Awards - Best casino dealer 2013 championship where participants demonstrated their skills to judges, competing in three categories: Americam roulette, Blackjack and Russian poker.

Winners received their awards in fancy Millenium casino during the massive “Minsk is the new Vegas!” VIP party, organized especially for RGW participants by Smile Expo Company.

Well, the first exhibition day has seen a lot of events, experiences and connections! Russian Gaming Week in Belarus has successfully gathered big international community of industry professionals.

Exhibition will last one more day – on the 28th of November in NEC BelExpo (pavilion A).
