Ladbrokes will be the first operator to offer a Betting App.

The Apple store, in the past, have removed a few gambling apps to comply with local gambling laws. 888 and PokerStars tried featuring their apps back in 2013, but Apple deleted the apps for several reasons. However, Ladbrokes has convinced Apple to approve of their betting app in the Aussie market. If approved, Ladbrokes will be the first bookie to launch such an app for their iOS players to enjoy betting from their wrists.

Scott Hutchens, Ladbrokes Australia CEO commented that the extension they have created, “communicates with the main Ladbrokes iOS app and will enable customers to actually bet directly from their wrist, and that more than 50% of their total betting turnover came from mobile wagering.”

РLadbrokes isn’t the only operator exploring this new novelty toy as being the new wave of gambling. PlayScreen, California mobile game originators released their app for the new watch called Blackjack Anywhere.

Ladbrokes continued with the excitment of the new gambling app by stating, “Our new app is in the app store – ready and approved for the launch of the Apple Watch. Our technology focus at Ladbrokes is on innovation for our punters. We have seen the rise of mobile to the point where it is now more than 50 percent of total turnover with the phone the primary device. The Apple Watch becomes another device to engage with our customers for more than just novelty. It is unprecedented design and the simplest betting interface in the world.”
