The gambling zone “Primorye” will be taken under the federal patronage. The news was announced by Yury Trutnev, the deputy chairman of the Russian government.

Such a decision was caused by the fact that the pace of development of the territory was far below officials’ expectations.

The government’s decision was announced by Yury Trutnev during his meeting with possible investors. The Presidential Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District admitted that the gambling zone “Primorye” was developing too slowly and the federal authorizes intended to influence the situation. Officials want to create one more attractive tourist venue for guests from the Asia-Pacific region. Nevertheless, some investors who signed the agreement with the authorities of Primorye detained time limits of construction works.

The most conscientious investors MELCO and Naga World have already started implementing the projects. Authorities are planning to terminate the agreement with two more companies and find new residents for the free territories.

The desire to create attractive conditions for investors in the region is explained by the fact that not all the territories of the gambling zone are distributed. There are presumably three free places for resident in “Primorye”.

“One territory isn’t distributed, two more territories will be confiscated,” comments Yury Trutnev.

According to him, local authorities have already received several offers and would like to see internationally known companies among the investors. A couple of residents and a Korean company, which wants to build a golf club here, are offering their services to the authorities of Primorye.

Some believe that electronic visas will influence the flow of foreign guests. This simpler and faster solution will be tested in the Far Eastern District starting from August 1.
