Deputies adopted a law on liquidation of illegal gambling equipment

Recently, a law has been adopted in the State Duma during the second reading, allowing the liquidation of gambling equipment used for conducting illegal lotteries and gambling. It will be utilized by the Federal Agency for State Property Management after a corresponding decree of the court.

Such initiative was proposed to avoid the repeated use of gambling equipment. Thus, combating against clandestine gambling business will become more efficient.

Representatives of the United Russia party offered to dispose of equipment at the expense of owners. But other deputies claimed that sometimes it was impossible to determine who was responsible for the organization of illegal games, therefore the offer was declined.

According to the deputy Aleksandr Sidyakin, this draft will be one among many documents adopted to regulate the issue of illegal gambling on the territory of the RF.
