Aleksandr Mamut launches the Russian gambling service Bwin

Billionaire Aleksandr Mamut establishes the Russian version of online gambling portal Bwin.

Service bwin.ru will conduct gambling activity using the license of Bwin Group, the Austrian online gambling company.

The launch will be organized by Digital Betting, owned by Aleksandr Mamut. It is planned to activate a website and a mobile application, where users will be able to place online bets.

The Russian party intends to invest at least €10 million per year in the nearest future. As a result, the portal can occupy a significant market niche, which is currently estimated at €16 million. Bwin Group will provide only the technological platform and the right to use the name.

According to the experts, the Russian version of online gambling portal can face legal hurdles. The thing is that the company won’t have a land-based betting shop network – only online betting will be available. It contravenes the law, which stipulates that users must be personally registered by an employee of the betting shop.
